ANNOUNCEMENTS
Pre-Law Advising Hours: Pre-Law Advisors are available to meet with you on an appointment basis. Walk-ins are no longer available. 
Appointments:  Available Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm.  Please call the CAS Front Desk (213.740.2534) to schedule an appointment with an advisor or email prelaw@usc.edu to meet with a current USC Law student. 
Law student advisors are available on a walk-in basis Tuesday afternoons from 1pm to 5pm and Wednesday mornings from 10am to 12pm. 
* Please note personal statements are not reviewed during appointments.  For personal statment review, please email prelaw@usc.edu.  It will take a minimum of 72 hours from the confirmation you receive from your reviewer for feedback on your personal statement.
Please be advised that the law student interns conclude working on April 24th.

Making the Transition: Undergrad to Law School
The biggest mistake students make coming into law school is thinking that law school is a continuation of undergrad.  This couldn't be further from the truth.
Come learn what law school is really like from current law students and learn effective strategies for making the smoothest transition possible to law school.

A veteran criminal prosecutor with experience prosecuting cases ranging from narcotics offenses to gang murders to complex white collar crime. A member of the prestigious High-Tech Crimes Unit, focusing on complex technologically based crimes.
Additionally, an experienced lecturer on topics pertaining to criminal justice, criminal procedure, privacy concerns, constitutional issues, sex crimes, complex fraud and white collar offenses.
2014 Duke Law D.C. Summer Institute on Law & Policy
Course offerings in the Duke Law D.C. Summer Institute on Law and Policy focus on topics important to current and aspiring practitioners in fields that require mastery of constitutional, statutory, and regulatory law and policymaking. The two sessions for the 2014 program are July 7-17, 2014, and July 21-July 31, 2014.  Each course is designed to offer undergraduates, recent graduates, and graduate students an accessible introduction to the pertinent legal and policy subject matter. Students who are potentially interested in attending law school are especially encouraged to enroll.
 
In each two-week session, classes will be held Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings from either 5:45-7:15 p.m. or 7:30-9:00 p.m., at the Duke in Washington office located near Metro Center at 1201 New York Ave., NW, Suite 1110, in Washington. Wednesday evenings are reserved for special programs, including an event with Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on July 30. Participants in either or both sessions are invited to attend all of the Wednesday night events.

The American Bar Assocation Center for Racial and Ethnic Diversity would like to spread the word regarding their 2014 ABA Scholarship Opportunity.
The ABA Legal Opportunity Scholarship grants 20 incoming diverse law students with $15,000 of financial assistance over the course of their three years in law school.
