BASEBALL DEFEATS PRINCETON
Mason opened conference play by defeating Princeton 5-4 in an away game on Tuesday, 4/1. Andrew Visconti started the game on the mound and struck out 6 while only giving up one hit. Aiden Henger followed, throwing 3 innings, and Brod Countryman closed the game out in the 7th, earning the save.
Offensively, the Comets were led by Sam Davies (2 for 4, double),
Grant O'Connor, 2 hits; Chase Cox (a hit, walk, and RBI); and Drew
Johnson (2 walks and an RBI). Isaac Vargon and Cade Landheer also
contributed with key hits.
The Comets (1-1, 1-0) are back in action today (4/2), concluding the series
against Princeton. Game time is 5:00, and the game will be played at the Mason
Varsity Field.
