BASEBALL ADVANCES WITH WIN OVER ST. X!
COMETS SEEK 15th DISTRICT TITLE THURSDAY
Mason advanced to the Southwest District Championship game on Tuesday with a tough 4-1 victory over St Xavier. Michael Bilo pitched five strong innings allowing one run on six hits. Drew Stevens continued his hot hitting going 2 for 3 with an RBI. Anthony Sulek wrapped the scoring in the sixth when he single, stole second, and advanced to third when Hutch Crociata laid down a sacrifice bunt. Drew Johnson then came up and hit a ground ball scoring him from third.
Up next, Mason takes on Troy High School on Thursday. That game will be played at Centerville High School at 5:00 pm. Admission will be charged.
The Comets will be seeking their program's 4th consecutive D1 District Ttile and 15th overall (five D2 titles).
The winner advances to the Regional Sweet Sixteen and will play the winner of the Centerville/Elder game on Thursday, May 30th, at 5:00 pm at Hayden Park (Miami University).
