BASEBALL
BASEBALL DEFEATS OAK HILLS 3-2

The first and second-place league rivals (OAK HILLS) battled to a close victory for Mason on Wednesday.  The Comets were able to pull out a 3-2 victory when Anthony Sulek hit an RBI triple to score the winning run in the bottom of the 6th inning.  Ben Hanley came on to earn the save in the top of the 7th to close out the victory. Andrew Visconti started on the mound for the Comets and pitched three scoreless innings.  Eric Schmulwitz pitched the middle three innings before handing the game over to Ben Hanley in the seventh.  

Mason scored first, crossing the plate with a run in the second and third innings.  Oak Hills responded with two unearned runs in the fourth to tie the game.  Both teams were held scoreless until Jake Hanley scored the go-ahead run with two outs in the sixth inning when Sulek tripled.

Mason (13-1, 10-0) goes for the sweep when they travel to Oak Hills on Friday, April 19th for a 5:00 game.

SOFTBALL
SOFTBALL STAYS UNDEFEATED IN THE GMC
COMETS DEFEAT AVES AND HIGHLANDERS

Mason Softball completed another run-rule game on Wednesday, this time at Sycamore by a final of 10-0. Alisha Fox and Anna Polca combined on the 2-hit shutout. Anna Geiser went 3-4 at the plate.

Mason Softball defeats Oak Hills at home on Thursday by a final score of 10-2. With the win, the Comets go to 10-0 in the GMC. Alea Hensley and Addie McBrayer led the offense with 3 hits each. Halle Martin knocked in 4 runs.

Mason (11-4, 10-0) will visit Fairfield TODAY, Friday, 4/19.

BOYS TENNIS SHUTS OUT EAST 5-0!

Mason Boys Tennis shuts out East on Thursday 5-0. See scores below:

Singles: Tonkal def. E.Vass 6-1, 6-1; Mantha def. Everding 6-3, 6-0; Bapat def. D.Frazier 6-3, 6-4. Doubles: Dornhecker-Buckingham def. Mills-Das 6-0, 6-0; Kardile-Lang def. Bialk-Unger 6-1, 

Next up, Mason Tennis (4-1, 4-0) will visit Indian Hill TODAY, Friday, 4/19. On Saturday the Comets will host Dayton CC.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL
BOYS' VB TAKES LOSS VS AVES 
On Thursday, Mason Boys Volleyball fell at Sycamore by scores of 21-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-14. No details of the event were made available.

BOYS LACROSSE
BOYS LAX STAY UNDEFEATED
COMETS RIP OAK HILLS

Boys LAX remained undefeated in the GMC on Thursday with a 9-1 defeat of Oak Hills at home. The Comets are currently 6-0 in the GMC. No details of the event have been made available.

Next, Boys Lacrosse (9-1) will visit Olentangy Liberty on Saturday.

GIRLS LACROSSE
GIRLS LAX DEFEATS OAK HILLS

The Mason Girls Lacrosse team put together a complete team win against Oak Hills on Thursday. The final score was 19-4. Thirteen different players scored and 12 of the 19 goals were assisted. Zoey Miller led the team in assists with 8. Julia Jarrells led the defense with 4 ground balls. The team also had 8 caused turnovers and 2 interceptions. Kirsten Hurr helped to dominate the draw with 8 draw controls and as a team, we controlled 20 of 26.

Next up for Girls LAX (4-6, 4-2) is a home match TONIGHT, Friday, 4/19 versus Springboro.
