The Bill is Now Law 
To the BSC Community:
Gov. Kay Ivey has signed SB278 into law, creating the Distressed Institutions of Higher Learning Revolving Loan Program. Read President Coleman's full statement on the BSC Blog.

Updated Paid Holidays
The College recognizes the following holidays for all eligible employees:
  • New Year's Day
  • Martin Luther King Day
  • Good Friday
  • Memorial Day
  • Juneteenth
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving and day after
  • Winter/Christmas Break
Three Paychecks Coming in June 
Because there are five Fridays in June and December 2023, employees who are paid bi-weekly will receive three paychecks in those months. Benefits deductions will not be taken from the third paycheck. Starting in August 2023, all employees who are currently paid monthly will move to the bi-weekly pay schedule, with the first two payments depositing on August 11 and August 25. Be on the lookout for an email with additional details about the payroll schedule change that begins in August. If you have any questions, please contact humanresources@bsc.edu.
