BASEBALL
BASEBALL FALLS TO HARRISON

 Mason Baseball lost to Harrison at home on senior night last Friday by a score of 12-5. The Wildcats broke the game open in the top of the 5th, scoring 6 runs. Other details are not available.

Next up, Mason Baseball (18-6) closes out the regular season on the road this week with away games at West Clermont on Tuesday and Olentangy Orange at Miami University on Friday.

The Comets are the #2 seed in the upcoming postseason tourney. They will play Walnut Hills in a District Semi-Final contest on Tuesday, 5/27 at 5:00 pm.

SOFTBALL TOURNEY JOURNEY BEGINS TODAY
COMETS VS. MIDDLETOWN

Mason Softball has earned the #1 seed in the upcoming Sectional/District and will host Middletown on Monday, 5/19 for a 1st round game.

COMETS MEET AVES FOR FINAL FOUR BID

At the recently completed OHSAA Sectionals this past weekend, Mason Tennis advanced several players to the District Championships. See the list below:

Singles:


Greg Bernadsky-1st place

Sean Fu-3rd place

Leo Qin-4th place

Doubles:

Daniel Tonkal and Janek Teply-1st place

Aron Dornhecker and Shreyas Mantha-3rd place

These Comets move on to the District Championships at Centerville on Thursday, 2/22 at 9:00 AM, with the finals slated for Saturday, 2/24. Qualifiers in Division I to the State meet will be four (4) singles and four (4) doubles.

The OHSAA Boys' Tennis State Championships will be held at the College of Wooster and the Aspen Racquet Club on Thursday and Friday, 5/29 & 5/30. 

Mason (19-0) will seek to advance to the OTCA State Final Four on Tuesday, 2/20, 4:30 PM, when they face Sycamore. That match will be played at Mason. The winner punches their ticket to the OTCA State Team Championships at the College of Wooster on Saturday, May 31, beginning at 8:00 am.

BOYS VB SEASON COMES TO AN END
COMETS FALL TO ELDER IN POSTSEASON

Mason Volleyball fell to Elder on Friday in the Regional tourney, ending their 2025 season. The scores were:  25-15, 25-11, 25-19. No other details were available.

Hats off to all the Mason VB players on a fine season at 15-6 and 6-2 (GMC-2nd place).

GMC CHAMPS PREP FOR POSTSEASON!

Both Mason teams now begin preparations for the District Championships, back at Mason, May 21-23.   The first four individuals or relay teams in each event in the district tournaments shall qualify for their assigned regional tournament. Only four qualifiers in each event shall be permitted to qualify from a district tournament to a regional tournament.

The Mason Girls will be seeking an amazing 21st consecutive District Title, and the Comet Boys will be seeking to repeat and capture their 13th Southwest District Championship.

BOYS LACROSSE
BOYS LACROSSE TOURNEY JOURNEY TUESDAY
COMETS EARN #2 SEED

The undefeated, Mason Boys Lacrosse Team (14-3, 10-0) now turns its attention to postseason play, entering the OHSAA tournament as the No. 2 seed in the region. The Comets will open tournament play at home on May 20 at 7:00 p.m. against the winner of Anderson vs. Walnut Hills.

GIRLS LACROSSE
GIRLS' LAX SEASON COMES TO AN END
COMETS FALL TO LEBANON
 
Mason Girls Lacrosse saw their season come to a close last Friday. The Comets fell to Lebanon in the playoffs, 14-6. Kirsten Hurr had 2 goals and 1 assist, Gabby Sell had 2 goals and 1 assist, and Addie Lupinski and Elle Riva each added a goal. Sammy Berold had 9 saves.

Mason finished the season at 8-10 overall and 7-5 in the GMC (4th place).
