2025 is the year to be in your bag! Come to the NIARA Financial Goal-Setting + Vision Board Workshop to inspire and empower your financial goals and bring your visions to life. This event is for women-identifying students of color at Grand Valley who are ready to build community and thrive together. Don’t miss free snacks and workshopping fun!

Join your fellow Lakers for the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service and Solidarity. Spend a Saturday volunteering with service projects at various locations in the community and make a positive change. There are limited spots, so don’t wait to register!

Do you know someone who really embodies what it means to be a Laker? Nominate them for I Am Grand Valley! The I Am Grand Valley awards are presented by the Office of Student Life to students who excel in leadership. You can nominate any student in the GV community as many times as you want throughout this semester until April 1. It’s time to recognize the Lakers who go the extra mile!

Come to the opening reception this Friday for a climate-centered art exhibition. Browse pieces from the GVSU art collection that highlight human impact, industrial exploitation, and sustainability. The Climate Matters: Our Changing and Resilient Planet art exhibition is open for a limited time from Jan. 10 to March 28 so don’t miss out!

It’s time to get in the Shark Tank, Lakers. 77 Idea Quest is a competition between students to pitch ideas that solve a real-world issue…and there’s up to $3000 in prize money involved. Submit your proposals by Jan. 27 for a chance to make a difference and win some cash!

The Center for Health and Well-being has big plans for Lakers this semester! Keep an eye out for the EatWell Series, Sex Ed Week in February, STI testing, AND resources including victim/survivor advocacy and free condoms. Stay updated on this variety of resources for your health!
