COLLEGE SPORTS PARENT/ATHLETE COMPLIANCE MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT

For anyone interested in playing college sports, Trevor Wright, Senior Director of Compliance, from the University of Cincinnati Athletics Compliance office will be at Mason on Wednesday night, November 20 for a Parent/Athlete meeting at 7:00pm in the High School Harvard Room. This presentation will be covering New Rules for the 25-26 school year, NCAA Recruiting, Initial Eligibility requirements for prospective student-athletes, National Letters of Intent, & Financial Aid.

BOYS XC AT DISTRICT OCTOBER 19TH

The recent GMC Champion Comets Boys will have next weekend off to train for the District Championships in two weeks back at VOA Park. Mason Boys XC will be seeking their 16th overall District Title in the past 17 years.

GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY

GIRLS XC AT DISTRICT OCTOBER 19TH

The 2024 District Championships will be held on Saturday, October 19th at Voice of America Park. The GMC Champion Mason Girls will be seeking their 6th consecutive District Title and 17th overall in program history as a Division 1 team.

MASON FOOTBALL SHUTS OUT COLERAIN

COMETS EVEN RECORD AT 4-4

Mason Football blanked Colerain 31-0 last Friday. The Comet offense and defense put it all together against the Cardinals to even their overall record to 4-4 and 4-3 in the always-tough GMC. The offense racked up 329 yards while the defense held for only 74 yards.

Temi Adesanya rushed for the Comet's first TD in the 2nd quarter, racing 91 yards for the TD. Later in that quarter, Adesanya put another TD on the board with a 45-yard rushing touchdown. He finished with a robust 194 yards rushing on only 12 carries on the night.

Ethan Jordan caught two of Ashton Sheafe's passes for TDs in the game. Max Gogul opened the scoring for Mason with a 34-yard Field Goal.

Mason will visit Sycamore (1-7, 1-6) this Friday for the "Battle of the Skies." The Aves fell to East last week 56-12.

BOYS SOCCER ENDS SEASON UNDEFEATED!

COMETS AND BEAVERS TIE 0-0 ON SATURDAY

TOURNEY JOURNEY BEGINS 10/22

Mason Boys Soccer concluded their undefeated regular season this past Saturday with a 0-0 tie against undefeated Beavercreek. The two HS powerhouses may see each other again in the upcoming postseason tourney which begins next week. No other match details were available.

Mason Boys Soccer is the #2 seed in the upcoming postseason and will host Colerain in a district semi-final on Tuesday, October 22. The winner will advance to the district final on Saturday, October 26, to face Walnut Hills or Oak Hills.

GIRLS SOCCER HOSTS LITTLE MIAMI WEDNESDAY

COMETS BEGIN POST-SEASON PLAY 10/21

Mason (10-4-2, 7-1-1) will conclude their regular season on Wednesday, 10/16 with a home match versus Little Miami.

Mason Girls Soccer is the #2 seed in the upcoming postseason. They will host Princeton for a 1st round game on Monday, 10/21. The winner will play either Beavercreek or Fairmont on Thursday, 10/24.

GIRLS TENNIS

GIRLS' TENNIS SENDS 7 TO STATE THIS WEEK!

#1 COMETS SEEK 8TH TEAM TITLE SATURDAY

The 2024 season will come to an intense and dramatic conclusion this week for the Mason Girls Tennis Program.

All seven Comets who entered the District qualified for this week's OHSAA State tournament in Wooster. This is the first time in school history that the Comets have placed the entire team in the OHSAA individual tourney.

The OHSAA State Tournament is slated for this Thursday/Friday, October 17-18 at the College of Wooster.

Mason is also alive in the OTCA team tournament; they will play Anthony Wayne in the state semifinals at the OTCA State Tournament held at the College of Wooster on Saturday, October 19. A state team champion will be determined later in the day.

The Girls Tennis program is ranked #1 in Division 1 Ohio and seeking their 8th consecutive OTCA State Title this fall.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

GIRLS VB DEFEATS TURPIN

REGULAR-SEASON FINALE TONIGHT AT KINGS

Mason defeated Turpin 3-1 (25-19,25-19,22-25,25-19) last Saturday. Addy Bianchini finished with a triple-double of 24 assists, 14 digs, and 11 kills. Hailey Westerman had 12 digs and 7 aces. Katie Helmes had 15 kills in 19 attempts, an unheard-of efficiency totaling .737.

Next up for the Comets (16-5, 9-0) is the regular season finale at King's TODAY, Tuesday, 10/15.

Mason enters the postseason as the #2 seed and will host Princeton again in a district semi-final on Tuesday, October 22. The winner will advance to face either Wayne or Beavercreek in a district final at a neutral site (TBA).
