Step Afrika! 101 Rocked the House |
Last week, Step Afrika! 101 performed on campus and it was a show to remember. Our very own Ignite Dance Company warmed up the crowd, then the Step Afrika! 101 performers kept the energy with traditional South African moves such as the gumboot dance. They even brought audience members up on stage to learn a routine!
Before it started, show attendees had the chance to check out “The Heart and Soul of the Movement” exhibit, honoring early members of the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) with artifacts from the civil rights movements they led. In December, the NPHC is celebrating 50 years of hard-work and community at Grand Valley. Happy anniversary, NPHC!
