BASEBALL SUFFERS FIRST GMC LOSS
COMETS DEFEAT MIDDIES BUT FALL TO EAST
The Comets returned to the win column Monday afternoon defeating Middletown 11-2. Conor Eggleton led Mason to the victory pitching 5 no-hit innings. Austin Wittersaetter and Will Dalton pitched the 6th and 7th innings to close out the win. Offensively, Jake Hanley, Anthony Sulek, and Drew Stevens led the way with extra-base hits. Cade Landheer went 2-3 with a walk, Brad Hart went 1 for 2 with a walk and Hutch Crociata also contributed with a hit and a sacrifice bunt to help the offense score. T

The Comets suffered their first GMC loss of the season on Tuesday, falling to Lakota East 9-7. Details coming soon.

SOFTBALL TAKE LOSSES VS EAST AND KINGS
Mason Softball dropped a GMC contest versus East at home on Monday by a 13-5 final. No other details were provided.

BOYS' VB BLASTS OAK HILLS
Mason Volleyball (10-5, 3-2) defeated Oak Hills at home on Tuesday night by scores of 25-12, 25-17, 25-9. No details of the match were provided.

1st place finishes: Destry Austin in 400m Dash
2nd place finishes: Luke Berkebile in 3200m Run 4x400m Relay (Liao, Vaz, Oyekunie, Austin)
3rd place finishes: Joey Corcoran in Shot Put
4th place finishes: 4x100 Relay (Liu, McBerry, Birdsong, Estoesta Brandon Liao in 400m Dash Suriya Vijayakumar in 2000m Steeplechase Owen Jurewicz in Pole Vault

On Tuesday, April 23rd, the girls' and boys' track teams competed at Kings High School Invitational.
Girls Track & Field: The girls team finished 4th of 12 teams.
1st place finishes: Maddie McCaster in 100 Hurdles
2nd place finishes: Parker Evans in 400m Dash Estelle Apewokin in Triple Jump
3rd place finishes: 4x800 Relay (Upchurch, Moellers, Korostyshevsky, Godbole) 4x100 Relay (Phimster, Apewokin, Owusu, Anderson) Nora Moore in the Long Jump Auna Korostyshevsky in 800m Run Thea Phimister in 200m Dash Winnie Brown in 3200m Run Payton Evans in Triple Jump

BOYS LAX STAYS PERFECT IN THE GMC
COMETS DEFEAT WEST!
Mason Boys LAX stays undefeated in the GMC (7-0) with a 14-4 win versus Lakota West on Tuesday at home. No details of the match were provided.

GIRLS LAX LOSES TO BORO, DEFEATS WEST
The Comets lost a tough Friday night game vs Springboro by a final score of 14-6. Zoey Miller led the scoring with 2 goals while 4 other players were also able to find the back of the net. Claire Baenziger led the team with 3 draw controls. Emma Schlacter faced some tough shots but was able to make 8 incredible saves.

Mason Girls LAX earned a 14-13 Win against Lakota West on Tuesday. Although the Comets always held the lead, it was a close game the entire time. Zoey Miller led the team in scoring with 5 goals with Claire Baenziger adding 4. Miller also added 4 assists and Emily Hellmann had two. Violet Henderson and Izzy Dean led the defense with 2 caused turnovers each. Kirsten Hurr was able to control 9 draw controls which were crucial to the game possession.
Mason plays at home vs Sycamore on Thursday.
