Free Lifeguard Classes
The YMCA of Greater Birmingham is working to strengthen and deepen the pool of lifeguards in Birmingham and the surrounding area by providing FREE lifeguard classes to the community. When you become a lifeguard, you are given the skills to save lives. In the last few years, the Birmingham area has had pools that have stayed closed and pools that have become swim-at-your-own-risk because of the lifeguard shortage. We at the YMCA do not want that to happen this year. If you want to become a lifeguard, please register for a class at The YMCA of Greater Birmingham website: Certifications - The YMCA of Greater Birmingham: For A Better Us (ymcabham.org).
That paper you wrote in the fall? It could win $500.
