HR Staffing Updates


We are thrilled to welcome Debi O'Connor as our new Director of Employee Relations and Support at CC. In this pivotal role, Debi will be instrumental in fostering a positive and inclusive work environment across our campus community. Her efforts will focus on enhancing communication, implementing conflict resolution strategies, and promoting a harmonious workplace culture. 

Debi’s role will involve resolving conflicts, refining policies through an antiracist framework, and offering guidance to both employees and managers. By integrating an antiracist lens into our organizational policies, Debi is dedicated to supporting inclusivity and diversity, and ensuring that every employee feels valued and respected. Additionally, she will oversee all ADA accommodations for both employees and student employees, further reinforcing our commitment to accessibility and support. 

A native of Colorado Springs, Debi brings a wealth of experience from her extensive background in compliance within higher education and healthcare. She is eager to become a trusted member of the CC community and collaborate with colleagues across campus. 

Outside of work, Debi enjoys hiking, playing pickleball, participating in Jazzercise, and traveling. Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Debi as she embarks on this exciting new chapter with us! 

Excel at CC


Over 200 staff and faculty responded to the training needs assessment survey we launched in June. Thank you to all who participated in this process!  

Sara San Souci is working to aggregate and analyze the data collected which will inform future decisions about how we define professional development at the college. In the midst of this process, Excel at CC will continue to host a handful of training opportunities throughout the Fall semester. You can check out the session topics, and reserve your spot to attend, in the Live Training Calendar in Bridge. 

Talent Acquisition Website 


We are excited to announce the launch of our new Talent Acquisition website! This platform offers comprehensive resources on hiring procedures, including step-by-step instructions and best practices. You’ll find hiring tools to assist with searches, as well as support for navigating our Applicant Tracking System (ATS), PeopleAdmin (soon to be PageUp). Current employees can also learn more about the internal hiring process at CC. Be sure to check it out and take advantage of the resources available to streamline your talent acquisition activities. Total Rewards Open Forum 


CC is committed to providing equitable compensation and benefits (Total Rewards) and being transparent about their administration. RSVP to this open forum on September 10, 2-3 p.m., to meet our new Director of Total Rewards, Cameron Martin, and learn about the work we’re engaging in to enhance our total rewards in 2024-2025.
