Dear CCF Friends and Supporters,
When it was clear that COVID would be with us for an extended period, I was concerned about how CCF would continue to serve the NET community. Over 6 months later, we are still here for you – every day! We thought about what you might need from us during these challenging times and created the first series of online programs about your health and safety during the pandemic, featuring NET experts. And back in July we inaugurated a year-long Luncheon with the Experts series, a free, weekly, online program that provides you with the opportunity to hear from and ask questions of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and nutritionists, NET patients, and other leaders in the NET community.
We need your support now more than ever. Without a doubt living through the pandemic has affected so many in our country. It has caused our donations to be down, and in many cases the amounts are substantially less than in prior years. But the flow of support continues, and it is for this reason that I am writing to you – both to thank our caring community and to once again ask for your support during our crucial annual appeal.
Now in its 52nd year, CCF has touched the lives of hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of people around the world who are impacted by NETs. When my father, Dr. Richard Warner, started the foundation his goal was to help people live their longest and highest quality life possible; in the spirit of his goal, CCF works tirelessly to ensure that people are properly diagnosed with NETs as early on as possible. Educating healthcare professionals and the public, spreading the word about neuroendocrine cancers whenever and wherever we can, providing support by phone and email around the world, and advocating for the NET community – these are our goals and mission for CCF’s next 50 years.
We are uplifted by the resiliency and positivity of the NET community. Please help us to help everyone around the world affected by NETs by supporting the foundation.
