Over the past 6 months Khenpo Samdup has been preforming pujas at
Gar Drolma for the sponsor puja program. This program was developed to benefit beings and contribute to the relationship with Gar Drolma and surrounding community. In traditional settings, lay practitioners sponsor prayers and rituals by making offerings to ordained sangha members, who then perform the requested rituals. The rituals involve visualization, making offerings to buddhas, and reciting prayers and mantras. The innate power of the rituals, combined with the sponsor’s act of generosity, connects the sponsor to the blessings of the buddhas and helps to create positive, favorable conditions for both spiritual and worldly success. In addition, obstacles and forces that are impediments are cleared.
H. E. Garchen Rinpoche has requested the following pujas; Amitabha Buddha, Medicine Buddha, and Achi Chokyi Drolma, be preformed for the continuation of the puja blessings.
