Chinese Student and Scholar Association Spring Festival
Love, energy and success were the themes of the evening as the Chinese Student and Scholar Association hosted an event for the Chinese Spring Festival Saturday. The Higher Learning Commission voted to continue the accreditation of the University of Michigan-Dearborn during their January meeting.
Renovations soon will begin on UM-Dearborn’s Science Building following months of preparation. University administrators expect construction crews to arrive on campus in early April once contracts are awarded and finalized.
Local high school students tested their entrepreneurial skills while pitching their business ideas during the university’s annual e-Academy program, organized by the College of Business.
More than 50 students will travel across the country—from Catalina Island, Calif., to Sanford, Va.—later this week to participate in Alternative Spring Break, a program designed to help students develop leadership skills and create social change in communities in metro Detroit and beyond.
Sarah Corral became the latest Wolverine to earn the top scholarship from the Tau Sigma National Honor Society. This marks the fifth consecutive year the organization has awarded the prize to a UM-Dearborn student.
