Making the Connection: New U.S. 36/Sheridan Underpass Opening June 10

Whether you drive along Sheridan Boulevard, ride your bicycle down the U.S. 36 Bikeway, or take an RTD bus from the US 36/Sheridan Station, you will soon notice a major improvement in how you get around Westminster. The Sheridan Boulevard Multimodal Transportation Improvement Project – also known as the Sheridan Underpass – is nearing completion and will open Saturday, June 10.

City to Invest More Than $4 Million into Historic Westminster’s England Park Corridor

72nd Avenue Corridor Study

The City is looking for input on improving the three-mile stretch of 72nd Avenue between Pierce and Zuni Streets in Historic Westminster. Help shape the community vision for this corridor to enhance travel, comfort, placemaking, and safety whether you drive, walk, bike, scoot, wheel, or take transit.

Roadway Improvement Updates

Simms Street Closure

Beginning as soon as August 1, 2023, Verve Metropolitan District will close Simms Street between 112th Avenue and Control Tower Road for a 12-month construction project. Verve Metropolitan District is leading the project which will realign Simms Street between 112th Avenue and SH-128. During the 12-month closure, construction crews will relocate utilities and complete grading work to result in a new three-lane roadway. Please note that although this project does not fall within city limits, we know some Westminster residents may be impacted by the closure. Please direct any questions or concerns to W.E. Provide Feedback About Airport Noise

Residents have the opportunity to offer feedback about airport and aircraft noise directly to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The FAA is reviewing its Civil Aviation Noise Policy and inviting the public to weigh in with written comments through July 31. Learn more.
