FRIDAY APRIL 4 ANNOUNCED AS CELEBRATION OF FASHION AND ART AT 5TH AVENUE OF THE ARTS

Five Designers to Present Fall 2014 Collections on 5th Avenue of the Arts Outdoor Runway

Nashville Fashion Week joins forces with 5th Avenue of the Arts to announce an evening of fashion-inspired art and runway shows presented by Opry Mills on Friday, April 4, 2014 at 7:00 pm.

The evening begins with a cocktail hour hosted by three 5th Avenue of the Arts galleries, The Arts Company, The Rymer Gallery, and Tinney Contemporary, who will each showcase artistic works inspired by fashion. The Arts Company will feature artists Devin Crane, Tres Taylor and Lillie Taylor; The Tymer Gallery will feature artists Celeste Rapone Marcus Durkheim, and Herb Williams; The Tinney Contempory will feature artist Carlos Gamez de Francisco.

Following the cocktail hour, the event will move outside for headlining runway shows on 5th Avenue. Guests will enjoy the Fall 2014 collections from Amanda Uprichard presented by Stacey Rhodes Boutique, Samantha Pleet, Skif International in collaboration with Saint Louis Fashion Week, SW3 Bespoke presented by Gus Mayer, and Vaute Couture. Styling services for Friday night will be provided by Green Pea Salon and The Cosmetic Market.

General admission tickets for Friday evening are on sale for $50 at NowPlayingNashville.com. General admission tickets will increase to $75 on Monday, March 24. All Access passes are also now on sale. Nashville Fashion Week will be held April 1-5, 2014 in venues across the city.

Amanda Uprichard
Amanda Uprichard launched her eponymous clothing line in 2003. Blending wearability and effortless elegance, she caters to the woman who demands contemporary style with a touch of edge. Her clothes are sold in major department stores and more than 500 boutiques.

Samantha Pleet
New York designer Samantha Pleet, a Pratt Institute alumni, has established a cult following with indie musicians and creative dreamers around the world with her elegant otherworldly collections and shoe collaboration with Wolverine. Additionally, she has shown her work with Gen Art and Ecco Domani during New York Fashion Week.

Skif International
"Joyful Freedom Every Step Of The Way" is one of the tag lines Skif International uses to describe their look. The company was launched in 1994 in Saint Louis, Missouri, by Nina Ganci. Known for their hand knits, Skif has created an offbeat quirky style that is easily wearable and recognized by all. Design happens when a dress or sweater is created for the comfort and style of our customers.

SW3 Bespoke
The SW3 Bespoke founders all hail originally from London and are inspired by the still relevant ‘London Cool’ made famous by the likes of iconic Jane Birkin. Launched in Fall 2011, SW3 Bespoke offers beautifully crafted jackets, pants and sportswear. A common thread each season is that ‘London Cool’, with a modern bohemian and sophisticated edge. Most of the luxury textiles come from Europe but production is done right here in the US.

Vaute Couture
VAUTE by Leanne Mai-ly Hilgart, focuses on creating the future of fashion – high design, ethics, and function at once. “Hilgart is the rebel of Fashion Week,” said CNN News. Fans include Angela Kinsey, Emily Deschanel and Alicia Silverstone.

The Arts Company
The Arts Company has commissioned Nashville Celebrity Fashion, bold paintings by L.A.-based artist Devin Crane and rEVOLution of Joy, a visual, video, musical, wearable art window and gallery installation created by Birmingham-based artist Tres Taylor and his daughter, designer Lillis Taylor.

The Rymer Gallery
The Rymer Gallery exhibition "As You Style It' features new paintings from Celeste Rapone and Marcus Durkheim with new crayon sculptures from Herb Williams.

Tinney Contemporary
The work of Carlos Gamez de Francisco will be brought to life at Tinney Contemporary with live models linked to his XVII century works.
