On Sunday, April 6, the Mountaineer Area placed 21 college students as Young Life Leaders. These new leaders (mostly freshmen) have spent this school year adjusting to being a college student. During the Fall semester, the majority of the time at YL Leadership was spent learning about things like relationships, time management, how to study, managing their money and other important life skills. During the Spring semester, they went through Young Life Leader Training. They were placed between Young Life, WyldLife, Young Life College and a brand new team for Capernaum (Young Life's ministry for kids with special needs). University, Morgantown, Clay-Battelle, Grafton, East Fairmont, Fairmont Senior, Bridgeport, and Lincoln High Schools all had at least one new leader added to their teams. As well as Young Life College and WyldLife in Fairmont and Morgantown. A brand new Caperanaum team is started and will be up and running in the Fall.
Below are pictures of all the teams in the Mountaineer Area - with new and old leaders. Although some schools are technically in the Harrison County area, many of their volunteer leaders are students from WVU.
Would you join us in praying for these college students and young professionals? They sacrifice so much to go tell kids about Jesus all over North Central West Virginia. We value your prayers for travel safety, boldness to meet new kids and share the Gospel, team unity, and going where the Lord leads. Thank you for your continued support, encouragement and prayers!
