How Does My Meal Plan Work at the SMFA Café?

• Students on SMFA Plan A or SMFA Plan B may inform SMFA Café staff that they would like to have a purchase made with their Tufts ID charged against their SMFA Meal Money. They may also elect to have all or part of a purchase charged against their Rhino Bucks, or may pay with cash or credit card. Don’t forget that students on SMFA Plan A and SMFA Plan B may also use up to 3 or 2 meals (respectively) per week at Carmichael and Dewick Dining Centers on the Medford/Somerville campus!
• Students on the Tufts Premium Plan, Premium Rhino Bucks Plan, or 220, 160, 100, 80, and 40 Plans may inform SMFA Café staff that they would like to have a purchase made with their Tufts ID charged as a meal. If a purchase exceeds the Meal Plan Equivalent of $6.60 for breakfast, $10.95 for lunch, or $12.80 for dinner, they are able to pay the remaining balance with Rhino Bucks or JumboCash if they have those funds on their Tufts ID, or may pay with cash or credit card. Students may also elect to have an entire purchase charged against their Rhino Bucks or JumboCash, or may pay with cash or credit card. 
• Students on the JumboCash Only plan may inform SMFA Café staff that they would like to have a purchase made with their Tufts ID charged against their JumboCash. They may also elect to pay all or part of a purchase with cash or credit card.
• Students on the Graduate Students 25 meal options are not able to have a purchase made with their Tufts ID charged as a meal at the SMFA Café, but may pay with JumboCash if they have those funds on their Tufts ID, or may pay with cash or credit card. Students may purchase meals with their Tufts ID at Carmichael and Dewick Dining Centers on the Medford/Somerville campus.
