LRF PRIVATE PURCHASES TOP CA BRED FILLY
HIGH EXPECTATIONS FOR 3YO FILLY, CHATI'S ON TOP
When Bloodstock Agent Greg Gilchrest finds a horse... you'd better listen. Gilchrest, the retired trainer of superstars Lost in the Fog and Soviet Problem who is well-known for having one of the "best eyes in the business", presented LRF with an opportunity to purchase Chati's On Top, and it didn't take long to jump in.  The 3yo California Bred filly was fresh off crushing a field of "open" maiden allowance runners at Golden Gate Fields by six widening lengths.  Gilchrest said afterwards, "She's got a beautiful body... and I think she's still growing. Why go to a two-year-old in training sale and pay hundred's and thousands of dollars for a horse that only goes an eighth of a mile. We've seen her run AND win and I think she has many more wins ahead of her." The filly will head to the Southern California barn on Mike Puype this week. "I loved her video," Puype raved. "Her stride is giant and she's still learning. Plus, Old Topper's are bred to like the dirt and the rich 3yo filly CA Bred division is ripe for the taking!" Chati - who ran a solid nine and a half Thorograph figure in her victory, will point for a CA Bred allowance race in early March at Santa Anita. Next, we are hopeful she'll make a start in the $200,000 Evening Jewel Stakes on April 5. Chati's On Top is available for immediate syndication.  Want a piece of an outstanding 3yo CA Bred filly with a world of upside?

EGGY'S COOKBOOK
LRF CARES UPDATE
The White Witch, aka Egg Drop, is scheduled to make her 2014 racing debut on Monday, February 17 at Santa Anita. The Grade II $200,000 Buena Vista is the first race on Egg Drop's radar and she has trainer Mike Mitchell giddy about the 2014 prospects. "She couldn't be doing any better," Mitchell exclaimed. "Everyone knows I just love her and I can't wait to see her strut her stuff in a couple of weeks." Egg Drop has already earned $494,080 for her LRF Partners and everyone has high hopes and lofty  expectations for a big return in 2014.
We are so thankful that so many of you have taken an interest in LRF Cares, Little Red Feather's new Charitable Foundation which was started last month. In Fact, LRF Partners Mike and Lynda Weeks, who also own horses on their own, pledged 5% of any earnings of thier 3yo filly, Blameitonthecat, to the Foundation. LRF Cares will raise money to benefit people and animals in need and will host it's first event, a Very Special Day at the Races, this April at Santa Anita. 2014 CALIFORNIA CLAIMING FUND UPDATE
With only two weeks before the commencement of the 2014 California Claiming Fund, LRF is very close to its ultimate goal. “We’re close to $150,000 raised right now, we are so fortunate to have clients/investors/friends who keep coming back,” exclaimed LRF’s Billy Koch. “This year, we hope to claim between 5-10 horses throughout the year and - come Del Mar - we’ll be loaded for bear!” The Claiming Fund will have the best in the business training our horses as Mike Mitchell, Doug O’Neill, and Mike Puype will be back for another round of action. If you are interested in participating in the 2014 California Claiming Fund, please contact us now. The Fund officially closes on February 15.
