Dear Loyola Community,
The early Jesuits worked to keep their community together across great distances, and now we do the same — using technology they couldn’t have dreamed of.
Today, I would like to introduce you to Heart of the Pack: a virtual home-away-from-home for our entire Loyola community that will help us maintain a sense of closeness, connection, and camaraderie while we all work, teach, and learn from afar.
Beginning today, you'll receive a daily Heart of the Pack email with a quick hello from campus (including the stories you've shared with me) and a bit of info you might find useful.
Last week, I asked you to share videos, photos, and stories showing how you’re adjusting to working and learning from home. I’ve gotten so many great submissions — please keep them coming. Your stories will be featured in the daily Heart of the Pack emails and on our social media channels using #HeartOfThePack. Soon, your stories will also be collected and archived on the Heart of the Pack website.
To get us started, I'd like to share this scene from the steps of Marquette Hall today. Just like our community, the faithful St. Charles streetcar keeps rolling on.
All my best,
Tania Tetlow
President
