  • West Michigan employers were awarded $13.3M in Going PRO funding
  • Bank of America wrote a great blog on the importance of cybersecurity while working at home or at your office.  
  • Menaka Abel, Request Foods' CFO, was featured on The Michigan Opportunity, a podcast run by the MEDC. Listen in to hear why they choose our region as a place to do business. 
  • The Michigan Department of Agriculture & Rural Development is launching a search for the 2022 Michigan 'Ag Exporter of the Year.' Each year, the department recognizes a leading food or agriculture exporter by presenting the “Michigan Ag Exporter of the Year” award to a deserving company that demonstrates success in export growth. Applications are due by April 15
  • The Michigan Defense Center is offering Michigan’s small and medium-sized defense contractors a comprehensive one-stop shop to DoD cybersecurity compliance. Learn more about this grant program HERE
  • The Veteran-Owned Small Business of the Year is a business with at least a 51% ownership share held by a military veteran with a minimum of a “general discharge,” active-duty service member eligible for the military’s Transition Assistance Program, reservists and National Guard members.   • Companies engaged in Advanced Manufacturing and Industry 4.0 solutions are invited to join MEDC’s International Trade team, Automation Alley, and MSU International Business Center for a roundtable discussion to share insights into challenges and successes of entering new international markets on March 10.   • The Michigan Defense and Opportunities Conference is free and occurs on April 20 and 21. Learn more and register HERE
  • On Wednesday, March 23 Consumers Energy will coordinate a virtual presentation with the MEDC on how to become a Consumers Energy supplier. Register HERE.
  • Muskegon Community College is hosting STEAM Along the Lakeshore, a free event in Muskegon that introduces pre-K through high school students to opportunities to engage in science, technology, engineering, art, and mathmatics on May 7. 
  • MLive's Women's Summit on May 16 brings hundreds of women together to connect and learn from each other. Nominate a woman who shapes the state today to be honored at this event.
