Dear Loyola Community,
We’ve almost crossed the finish line. Just six days of classes left this fall before final exams and a well-earned winter break.
I’ve been so impressed by your hard work and diligence this fall, and I encourage you to keep up that momentum and finish 2023 in a strong position. I have no doubt you will rise to the occasion just as you have done all semester.
But I understand this time of year also brings a lot of work and stress. I hope you will take advantage of the resources available on campus to get through these last few weeks.
Earlier this fall, I wrote about the value of connecting with your professors and visiting them during their office hours. It’s not too late to check in with them and discuss your work as classes end. The Pan-American Life Student Success Center offers numerous resources for students, including tutoring appointments and writing help. The Office for Accessible Education and the Visiting Pet Program is hosting therapy dogs on the second floor of the Monroe Library today at noon, for anyone looking for a pick-me-up as they study for finals. Next Wednesday a number of campus offices are partnering for Pawffice Hours – come to the Peace Quad between 1-3 p.m. to get your Pawsport to meet faculty dogs and earn some swag. And lastly, please know that the University Counseling Center is available to anyone who needs extra support during what can be a challenging time of year.
I congratulate you on your hard work and performance this semester. Your dedication has not gone unnoticed, and I wish you all the best on your final exams and projects.
Peace and blessings,
Dr. Xavier Cole
President
