Dear Colleague,
In May of this year, Karen Cushman’s book Catherine, Called Birdy will celebrate its 20th anniversary.
To mark this occasion, we will be posting greetings, memories of reading the book for the first time, short essays, impressions of Birdy, Birdy-related poetry, a photograph with greetings, and video greetings on Karen’s What’s New? blog and social media.
We invite you to be a part of the anniversary celebration by sending your thoughts in one of those forms (or crop circle art) by April 24th so we can organize the items we receive to be featured during the month of May. We will share the schedule with you so you know on which date your contribution will appear.
If you’d rather post your thoughts on your own blog, would you please tell us which day during May this would occur so we can link to it? Or merely tweet birthday greetings. We'd love for you to be part of the celebrations.
