Here at CoHC, we love to be inspired. This story from Jezebel.com packs a punch and was right up our alley:

A woman in her 90s saw a need in her community that she felt she was able to contribute to, so she did. You can watch the video (which is incredibly well made) here to see the full story.

What really struck us about Evelyn, apart from the fact that she’s 98, was her attitude. At one point in the video she says “On Earth, while I’m here, if I’m able, I should contribute, shouldn’t we all?” She doesn’t use her age as an excuse to relax and become complacent, but instead continually looks for and finds ways to improve the lives of those around her.

Many of the seniors we meet, either as caregivers or as clients, share Evelyn’s approach and see their golden years as an opportunity to help others, though sometimes arbitrary barriers, like driver’s license restrictions, get in the way.
