Dear Andover Students and Families,
I write with a few health and wellness reminders and updates as we approach the long weekend. We have a team of senior staff in collaboration with our medical director continuing to assess our policies around health and wellness, and we are pleased to report that campus positivity rates remain low.
On January 19, we informed you that every student must receive their COVID booster shot by February 1, 2022, or five months after completing their primary vaccination series with Pfizer or Moderna, or two months after receiving the J&J/Janssen vaccination.
As noted in our message on January 24, we expect that every student remains “up to date” with the COVID vaccine. Students have been showing proof of the booster vaccine and we encourage you to continue to do that before February 1. A student who is not "up to date” with COVID vaccine requirements (or received an approved exemption for medical or religious reasons) by the February 1 deadline will not be able to participate in the following activities:
- Overnight athletic championship competitions
- Overnight Learning in the World trips
- Overnight school sponsored events
- Overnight athletic sponsored events
- Overnight club events
- Any off-campus permissions
Finally, we would like to remind you that the booster clinic for students is Friday, January 28, from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Carter Lobby of Snyder Center. Please sign up through the Medicat portal for an appointment.
Thank you for your continued commitment to our community health and wellness.
