Yahoo! Researcher Joins College of Business

Kay-Yut Chen, a renowned behavioral and experimental researcher from Yahoo! and Hewlett-Packard, will join the UT Arlington College of Business in the Information Systems and Operations Management Department in the fall. Chen’s research merges the classroom and the boardroom. Read more

Faculty Expertise Spotlight: “Rules on Carbon Emissions are Foolish”

The McClatchy-Tribune News Service published an op-ed by Roger Meiners, Ph.D., Goolsby Distinguished Professor of Economics and Law and chair of the Department of Economics, criticizing rules on carbon emissions. The piece was published June 19, 2014 in the Chicago Tribune, the Miami Herald and Anchorage Daily News. More than 20 additional publications across the U.S. carried the piece. He also lent his voice and research to an educational animated video about common law and environment.

Alumnus John Merrill Establishes $500,000 of Endowments

John Merrill, founder and president of Tanglewood Wealth Management Inc., generously created two $250,000 endowments in the College of Business—one to provide seed operational dollars to support the Personal Finance/Financial Literacy program; and the other for an endowed Professorship in Consultative Sales.
