DART Data Validates Kinetic Impact as Planetary Defense Method

Since NASA’s Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) successfully impacted its target over five months ago, on Sept. 26, the DART team has been hard at work analyzing the data collected from the world’s first planetary defense test mission. Prototype Planner Offers New Capability for Radar Search Plans

APL Staff Members Recognized for STEM Leadership with Black Engineer of the Year Awards

Five staff members at APL have been honored with Black Engineer of the Year Awards for their innovative leadership in science, technology, engineering and math. Each year, BEYA honorees are selected by a peer review committee from U.S. Black Engineer & Information Technology magazine and the Council of Engineering Deans of Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

APL BEYA winners included Malcolm Taylor, Gill Brown, Jamie Porter, Nicole Brown and Camille Daniel.
