Meet the MD Board Candidates

Three Ken-Caryl Ranch Metropolitan District Board of Director positions are up for election with two positions up for four-year terms and one position up for a two-year term. Eight residents have announced their candidacy to run for the three open positions to be decided with the May 6 election. Please see the MD Board Candidate Profiles to learn more about the candidates. The MD Board election, along with Bond Ballot Question 5A, will be conducted via mail ballot with ballots scheduled to be mailed out to all registered voters in the Ken-Caryl Ranch Metropolitan District the week of April 14. All ballots must be returned to the Designated Election Official or the Ranch House by no later than 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6.

Volunteer Patrollers Needed

Time is running out to become a Volunteer Patroller on Ken-Caryl Ranch for the upcoming season. If you would like to assist the Park Rangers by providing rules education and trail use guidelines, register by April 7. A training event will then take place on April 12 from noon-2 p.m. by RSVP only. See the Open Space Volunteer page for registration forms. To sign up or for more information, contact Park Ranger Matt Oven at 303-904-0249 or matto@kcranch.org.

Residents Invited to Review New Community Signage Options

The Ken-Caryl Ranch Master Association will be replacing the main entrance signs around Ken-Caryl Ranch. The Master Association has contracted with Arthouse Design to help develop the new sign design. Residents are invited to review the designs and provide comments when they are presented and discussed during the Master Association and Metropolitan District Joint Study Session on Tuesday, April 1 at 6 p.m. at the Ranch House. The signage options will also be posted online later this week and linked in next week's e-News.

Community Garden Plots Still Available

There are still a few gardening plots available in the Community Garden located next to the Community Center in the Valley. Think of juicy red tomatoes, fresh lettuce, crisp beans and giant sunflowers grown right here on Ken-Caryl Ranch! Small plots cost $150, which includes a $50 deposit that is refundable upon fulfillment of a gardener agreement. Register for plots online or by calling 303-979-2233.

Ranch House Playground Now Closed; Volunteers Needed to Build New Playground

The Ranch House playground is now closed. The park area around the playground is still open, but the actual playground equipment is being removed. It will reopen on Wednesday, April 16 following final inspection of the completion of the Community Build Project. The new playground will be installed on Saturday, April 12, and we are in need of volunteers for the construction. This great community event for the whole family has multiple shifts available and will feature fun activities planned throughout the day. For more information and to sign up, see our Special Events page.
