Why Work Crew Means So Much

"Getting to do work crew means so much to me! It means a chance to spend a part of my summer getting to know people; loving and caring for them as well as growing in my relationship with Christ and to show people how loving a life with Christ is!"
Nicole Hairell, Junior at Mountlake Terrace High School
Serving this summer at Malibu Club, July 21 - August 18

"Doing work crew at Washington Family Ranch Canyon means a lot to me.  It is taking another step forward in my faith. I get to meet tons of new people who will be serving alongside me, which means I can learn so many new things from them on how to continue to grow in my faith.  I am excited to learn new tools and ways to keep close to God. Most of all, I am giving back to the campers who now stand where I did and make sure they have the same experience I did, maybe even better!"
Fynist Rollins, Senior at Lynnwood High School
Serving this summer at Washington Family Ranch Canyon, July 9 - August 1

"It is sincerely a pleasure that I get to serve thousands of campers who are getting to know God."
Jillian Wright, Junior at Meadowdale High School
Serving this summer at Washington Family Ranch Creekside, July 3-29

Serve as a Nanny or a Manny

"About 2 years ago I had the opportunity to go to a YoungLives camp to care for a baby. The first day I met the baby and the mom, it was very difficult for her to entrust me with her child.  I assured her that her child would be safe with me.  God was so good though the whole week and the last day that I spoke with her she said 'Are you going to be here next year?  I would really like you to take care of my son next year'.  We had some wonderful conversations about her life and her boyfriend (the baby's dad).  I think she felt God's presence and felt people were really listening to her and cared deeply for her."
Patti Olswang

"Caring for the children at Young Lives Camp was so special.  Raising kids is a hard job, and doing it alone and very young must seem almost impossible.  Helping a young mom by loving her baby for a few days while she got to 'be a kid again' brought me such joy!  I loved every minute and look forward to helping out again!"
Martha Johnson
