PLA Media Announces Addition of YouTube Sensational Soulful Scotsman Brendan MacFarlane to Our Award Winning Roster
Award-winning public relations and marketing firm PLA Media is pleased to welcome viral YouTube teen singer/songwriter Brendan MacFarlane. At 16, this Scottish lad is honed in on a unique style combining classic country and blues with elements of R&B and pop. To top it off, his smooth, soulful vocal runs effectuate a sound that one wouldn’t expect to hear from such a young artist.
“Brendan has an indescribable quality to his voice that is so distinctive, and he exhibits control well beyond his years. We’re anticipating great things to come from him,” says Pam Lewis, President of PLA Media.
Quickly wooing the heart of Nashville, Brendan caught the ears of country music legend Vince Gill at The Time Jumpers performance on Monday, May 5th.  Inviting him up for an once-in-a-lifetime experience, Brendan was afforded the opportunity to sing, “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry” with the icon.  You can view it at this link: http://youtu.be/c2pPvE0TxsI.
“It was a complete shock and I was so honored and excited to be on stage with such talented and experienced musicians,” recalls Brendan. “Never did I think that when we went to the show on Monday that this would happen.”
About Brendan MacFarlane
Hailing from the small Scottish city of Perth, Brendan first began singing at the age of three and wrote his first song at five. He spent his childhood writing music with his dad and uncle and developing his talent - influenced by the soulful sounds of Sam Cooke, Ray Charles and Elvis - and recorded his first gospel album when he was twelve. A year later, he garnered worldwide attention after a video of him singing in a New York guitar shop went viral. Currently, this sensation with over 3.4 million views on YouTube is working on songs for his debut US project with the likes of Grammy-award winning Ray Kennedy, Earl Bud Lee (Friends in Low Places – Garth Brooks), and Ronnie Bowman (Never Wanted Nothing More – Kenny Chesney) and has been recording with Kent Wells (Dolly Parton) and Bobby Cyrus.
