Exploration helps young adults listen, discern, and respond to God’s call to ordained ministry and explore their gifts for service as a deacon or elder in The United Methodist Church. Deep Impact of the Black College Fund

This fall, 20 Black College Fund (BCF) Lina H. McCord ambassadors visited local churches for the second annual BCF Thank You campaign. These visits provide congregations with a first-hand account of how apportionment dollars are used. read more 

Newest Book Added to GBHEM's Publishing Office

“Preaching Methodist Theology & Biblical Truth: Classic Sermons of C. K. Barrett” edited by Ben Witherington III is the latest book to be released by the GBHEM Publishing Office. The book introduces readers to Barrett, a masterful biblical scholar. read more 

Local Pastor's Gift of Voice

Rev. John Hall had a successful career in broadcasting, advertising and marketing for more than 30 years. “The years using my voice for the broadcasting world prepared me well to use my voice to promote and proclaim the message of Jesus Christ,” Hall explained. read more

  • GBHEM Welcomes Two Staff: Mark Hanshaw has been appointed as General Secretary of the Division of Higher Education, effective February 1, 2018. In November, Rev. Mitchell Lewis began his appointment as the Director of Endorsement and Endorsing Agent in the Division of Ordained Ministry's United Methodist Endorsing Agency (UMEA).
