Volunteers are awesome sauce!
You guys never cease to blow me away by sharing your passions with at-risk youth. Triple Threat would only be "ok" without you. Real talk.
But sometimes, we need more than volunteers to help run this thing. You know.... serving more than 3,000 kids a year takes a lot of planning and behind-the-scenes work! And being a nonprofit that puts 94 cents on the dollar straight back into programming for at-risk youth, we don't have bags of money laying around to hire peeps to come work full-time with us. (But if you do have extra bags of money.....
you should do this)
That's why our partnership with
Up2Us is SO important to us -- their
Coach Across America program gives us the human-power to geter' done! And we're excited to announce that -- yet again! -- we've been awarded a grant that will provide Triple Threat with multiple "coaches" that can help us build our capacity and expand our mission.
Thanks to Up2Us and
Americorps, Triple Threat is looking to hire two half-time coaches and one full-time coach for 2014- 2015.
What's a "coach," you say? Glad you asked. A coach is a person who uses their love of sports to make an impact in an under-resourced community. Coaches must be college aged or older and available to work 20-40 hours a week.
For the past year, our CAA coaches have been crucial to our success and growth! Alan, Emily and Dionte have rocked every athletic aspect of 3T: from
Nike SPARQ to sporting camps and clinics and running programs.... they've been DOPE! For the last 8 months they've been able to use their love of sports to make a real impact in the community. How awesome is that?!
If you want to use your love of all things athletic to serve the neighborhood, we'd love to hear from you. We can start bringing folks on board starting August 1st, so
fill out this form NOW if you're interested! DO IT.... you won't be disappointed!
