SETC Price Increase - Actuator Valve Change

OVERVIEW

To mitigate the supply chain shortages Condair has experienced regarding the SETC units, engineering and purchasing teams have been sourcing and validating new actuator valves to replace those previously used from Schneider Electric.

Schneider valves have reverse stem action, i.e. the valve is opened when the stem is depressed. Many other manufacturers of valves reverse this and have the valve opened when stem is up.

LEAD TIME

We are pleased to announce that a replacement actuator valve from Belimo has been sourced and validated. This change will allow Condair to reduce the lead time for complete units from 16+ weeks to 4 weeks.

LIST PRICE CHANGE

The change will result in a list price increase to all SETC model sizes (SETC 1050 excluded) of 1,247 CAD. The pricing change will become effective January 1st, 2025 to allow for ongoing projects to place a PO at the current price. Currently confirmed orders shipping after January 1st, 2025 will not be affected by the price change.

SETC 1050 models are not affected by this change.

SPARE PARTS

When required for maintenance/repair, any units with older Schneider valve & actuator combination will require that BOTH the valve and actuator be upgraded  to the newer Belimo part numbers listed below.

Any units with the newer Belimo valve installed will only need to replace the damaged component, either the valve or the actuator.

Valves can be distinguished by the manufacturer's label written on the side of the valve.
