I am excited to announce that the Chicagoland Chamber’s 110th Annual Meeting of Membership will be held on June 24th at Navy Pier’s Grand Ballroom.  This year’s keynote speaker will be Randall Stephenson, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of AT&T, Inc.  In his address, Randall will discuss how AT&T, a company started in 1875 and one of the Chamber’s Charter Members as Illinois Bell, has continued to reinvent itself to become a global communications leader.

By attending the Annual Meeting, you are supporting numerous Chamber initiatives that enhance our members’ success and help make Chicagoland a better place to live and do business. This year’s event will also serve as a celebration of the Chamber’s 110th Anniversary, with a special focus on the Charter members that have served as the Chamber’s foundation for over a century.

At the Annual Meeting on June 24, we will once again be announcing the winner of The James Tyree Emerging Business Leadership Award.  Created in memory of one of our city’s great business and civic leaders, Jim Tyree, this award will provide a Chicagoland small and emerging business with a $25,000 cash prize as well as in-kind services to help facilitate the continued growth of the company.

Prior to the Exchange Keynote on April 2, 2014, a VIP luncheon was held at Stetson’s restaurant within the Hyatt Regency Chicago. During the luncheon, Chicagoland Chamber President and CEO Theresa E. Mintle discussed the Chamber’s new small business strategy and exciting new technology programming. Boston Consulting Group’s Derek Kennedy and Microsoft’s Thomas Hansen offered compelling insight on BCG’s “Ahead of the Curve” study and the importance of technology to small business success.
