School of Business Administration earns prestigious reaccreditation

The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business has extended Fort Lewis College's business accreditation, an accomplishment that has been achieved by only 5% of the world’s schools offering business degrees at the bachelor’s level or higher.

Visiting scholars bring Indigenous perspective

FLC classrooms now include even more Indigenous perspectives, thanks to a three-year, $500,000 grant from the Mellon Foundation. Visiting assistant professors Davina Two Bears and Brian Twenter have both joined the Native American & Indigenous Studies Department as this year's Mellon Scholars.

The art of dabbling

When Hayley Kirkman (Art, ‘17) isn’t developing Durango’s thriving arts and culture scene as executive director of the Durango Creative District, she's busy sculpting monsters for the new Meow Wolf Denver exhibit, a project she’s collaborating on with Lexis Loeb (Art, ‘16) and their former professor, Chad Colby.

That's hawksome

The FLC cycling team recently helped connect a Las Vegas bike shop going out of business and a cycling nonprofit in Gallup, New Mexico. Boxes and boxes of parts were driven out from Nevada and delivered to Silver Stallion Bicycle & Coffee, a nonprofit focused on growing opportunities for folks in New Mexico and the Navajo Nation to find joy, personal fulfillment, and self-actualization through bikes and coffee.
