Financial experts agree...
It’s beneficial to live with a little financial cushion in your life. Financial stress can rob you of productivity and even impact you physically with  headaches and higher blood pressure. If you’re looking for some strategies to lessen financial stress, we’ve rounded up a few key takeaways.
Use a budget to plan your bills and expenditures in advance. Some people dislike the term “budget” and prefer to call it a “monthly spending and savings plan” instead. Whatever your preference, use one and you’re likely to feel more in control.
Pay yourself first by putting a few dollars each paycheck into savings. For example, if you get paid twice a month and saved just $20 each time, within one year you’d have almost $500! Having a savings cushion lets you pay for life’s unexpected moments worry-free.
Reduce spending and stress at the same time. For example, shop at a consignment store or purchase local groceries from the farmers market. A favorite tip among personal finance experts is to always shop with a list you’ve written ahead of time so you don’t splurge on unnecessary items when you get to the store.
