Hurricane Season Reminders
Hurricane season runs from June 1–November 30. We recommend talking to your student over the summer to make preparations in the event of a storm. Our
hurricane preparedness website has useful resources, including what to pack in an
emergency go-kit. In the event of an emergency such as severe weather, information will be provided to the Loyola community via the website, social media, email, and text courtesy of our emergency communications system.
Students are required to file a personal evacuation plan and update their emergency contact information at the start of every school year. When students log into their LORA Self-Service account, they can update their “Emergency Information” under the “User Options” section linked from the navigation on the left side of the screen.
