The celebration of Passover shares the story of the Jews’ freedom from slavery in Egypt. It is a lesson of resilience and hope, of overcoming adversity and emerging from darkness into light. The observance of Ramadan invites a month of fasting, prayer and reflection as a commemoration of the first revelation of Muhammad.
Our Loyola community is blessed to include students, faculty and staff celebrating all of these religious holy days. The richness of our diversity is an invitation to continue to find God present in all people and experiences as we celebrate new life this spring. As we do so, I hope that we will continue to grow stronger in unity and appreciation for the dignity of all.
Please know you and your loved ones will be remembered in the Easter masses of the Jesuit Community.
God Bless,
Father Justin Daffron, S.J.
