Get Ready for the Fall Semester
We’re counting down to the start of the fall semester! Please encourage your student to complete a few important action items over the summer to prepare.
All payments, financial aid, monthly payment plans, and parent loans must be in place in LORA Self-Service by August 1. Loyola's e-commerce system allows students to pay with a credit card, using a saved payment method, or with a checking or savings account. Learn more about payment options »
Students are required to add/update their emergency contact and complete the registration agreement at the start of every semester. Your student can complete both action items in LORA Self-Service, located in the “User Options” dropdown menu.
All full-time undergraduate students are automatically enrolled in Loyola’s student health insurance plan. Eligible students are required to use Loyola’s plan unless they can provide proof of comparable, existing coverage for the academic year. Waivers must be submitted and approved annually in order to have the fee removed. See plan details and instructions to waive coverage »

Here are just a few alumni events coming up:
If your recent grad wants to get involved or attend an event, encourage them to follow the Young Alumni Pack on Instagram and on Facebook. Or, they can connect with the Alumni Association on its new Instagram page.

Parent & Caregiver Events at Wolf Pack Welcome
We will kick off the fall semester for the newest members of the LOYNO community at Wolf Pack Welcome on August 17–20. This is a mandatory event for all first-year students, and we will also provide optional programming for their parents and caregivers! Parent programming includes a mix of opportunities to get to know New Orleans and to learn more about Loyola, including resources available on campus, engagement opportunities, study abroad, financial services, and more. We'll share the full schedule and details for new parents/caregivers later this month on our Wolf Pack Welcome website.

Spiritual Growth Opportunities for Students
Do you have a first-year student joining Loyola in the fall? Student Life & Ministry invites all first-year students to join the First Year Retreat on Saturday, September 9! This day-long retreat gives students an opportunity to meet other students who are looking for meaningful connections, hear talks from upper class students, look more deeply into how our Jesuit values relate to all aspects of life, and have a whole lot of fun! Students should complete this registration form by Thursday, September 7.
Ignatian Life Communities are our Ignatian-based life and faith sharing groups that meet weekly and help students find God in all things (in whatever way they understand God to be). In addition to general ILCs, students can also join special interest ILC groups, like student athletes, Spanish speakers, LGBTQ+, and groups for general spiritual exploration. Most students say ILCs become like a family on campus, and are a place to recharge and reflect during the busy week. Registration for ILC groups will open on August 14. For questions about ILC groups, email University Minister for Retreats and Small Faith Communities Hunter Darrouzet at hrdarrou@loyno.edu.

At Loyola, we plant the seeds. When you make a gift, you water the garden. Your gift to the Loyola Fund allows university leadership to direct resources to where our faculty and staff can best address challenges and convert needs to opportunities — to water the seeds that need it the most. Give $25 or more to the Loyola Fund before July 31 and receive a Loyola garden flag to show your Pack pride!
