Thanks for Supporting the Home & Garden Tour!
The weather provided a glorious backdrop for the 38th Annual Central Gardens Home & Garden Tour, helping to make it one of our most successful events!
This year’s tour included five beautifully decorated homes plus  the seven magnificent Tiffany stained glass windows at Grace-St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. The tour spanned the neighborhood and featured a vast array of architectural styles.
While the weather certainly aided in the success of the tour, this event is not possible without our generous sponsors and volunteers. This year’s sponsors were:
  •  Eclectic Eye
  •  Hobson Realtors
  •  Katie Cole, CFP & Brian Boswell, CRPE, Ameriprise Financial
  •  Lexus of Memphis
  •  Methodist Healthcare
  •  Metro Construction
  •  Pediatrics & Internal Medicine (Dr. Allison Stiles)
The Central Gardens Association is also grateful for the hard work of our volunteers. A full list of organizers for key aspects of the event can be found here.
Tour Perspective, by Suzanne Henley
I've lived in Midtown for over 40 years, and Jim used to live in Central Gardens.  When we got married two years ago, we looked at over 40 houses in different parts of town, but we kept coming back to this one.  We loved it, and we both felt strongly that Central Gardens was where we wanted to be.
I don't think most people end up in Central Gardens by accident.  There's no other part of town as grounded in history, in family, in community--and in diversity.  Throughout the day walkers and runners of all ages can be seen in the middle of our street, moving through the dappled sunlight of the overhanging trees.  Neighbors' children on both sides of us play outside; their sounds echoing down the block remind us what it was like when we were growing up. Neighbors also chat on the sidewalk or the middle of the street or on porches or decks.

Spotlight a Sponsor:
Katie Cole, CFP, Ameriprise Financial
For sponsor and longtime Central Gardens resident Katie Cole, CFP, of Ameriprise Financial, involvement in the 38th Annual Central Gardens Home & Garden Tour is dedication that has come full circle. Katie’s former home was once on the tour and she has also previously served as a head docent.
“To me, sponsorship is just another level in which I can lend my support and help the cause,” said Katie. “Of course, we like the fact that the tour enhances our awareness, but I believe in Memphis and believe in this community. That’s why I felt strongly about supporting the tour.” Katie and her husband now live in their dream home, a newly constructed home in Central Gardens.
