5th Annual
Arkansas Endangered Species Day
Art Contest


Art and science combine for a fun way to learn about Arkansas's federally endangered, threatened, and candidate species.

Here's some quick information:

  • school-age children grades K-12 can participate
  • winners will be chosen in four categories: K-Grade 2, Grades 3-6, Grades 7-9, and Grades 10-12
  • first, second, and third place winners will be selected from each category, as well as an overall state winner
  • art should highlight one or more land, cave and/or stream-dwelling endangered, threatened, or candidate species found in Arkansas
  • photos of endangered species can be found in an image gallery on the ANHC website
  • entries must be postmarked April 12, 2014

This contest is sponsored by the Arkansas Ecological Services Field Office of the U. S. Fish and WIldlife Service (USFWS).
