Big Changes Coming to the Endow Iowa Tax Credit
|
For nearly 20 years, the Endow Iowa Tax Credit has been a valuable tool to maximize your client’s support of the causes they care about. To keep the Endow Iowa Tax Credit working for Iowans, the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA), which oversees the Endow Iowa Tax Credit, has announced immediate changes to the program. One critical change is the discontinuation of the Endow Iowa Tax Credit waitlist on July 1, 2023. We are encouraging all donors to make Endow Iowa qualified gifts by June 15, 2023. Learn more about the changes to the Endow Iowa Tax Credit program and contact us with questions.

Secure Act 2.0 and Its Impact on Charitable Giving
|
Known collectively as “Secure 2.0,” these laws may affect your clients saving and their giving. They may even make it easier for your clients to make a difference for the causes you care about. Here are three important things included in Secure 2.0 that you should know about:
- Increases the required minimum distribution (RMD) age
- Adjusts for inflation the $100,000 annual limit on direct gifts to qualified charities from your IRA
- Allows for a distribution from an IRA to fund a life-income gift
Read more about these three changes and the charitable solutions they can provide to your clients in this article.
