Career Fair
Representatives from more than 60 companies greeted job-seekers Thursday during the university's Spring Career Fair. Career Services organizes the biannual event, which is open to both students and alumni.
University of Michigan-Dearborn honored nearly 90 students and seven faculty members last Tuesday during the 32nd Annual Honor Scholars and Faculty Awards. The evening recognized excellence in teaching, research, service and scholarship.
Nathan Forbes, managing partner of The Forbes Company and vice chairman of the Cleveland Cavaliers, and Lolita Hernandez, award-winning author and poet, will be the keynote speakers at the university’s commencement ceremonies Sunday, April 27.
Last fall, students in Jennifer Proctor's JASS 405 class tackled the emerging media landscape together. The result? An interactive documentary featuring Detroit entertainer Satori Shakoor.
Joseph Marks has organized about 100 different art exhibitions at UM-Dearborn—from Japanese prints to calligraphy exhibitions, and just about everything in between. His final exhibition, slated to run April 4-May 9, highlights more personal work: his own.
Six 2013 UM-Dearborn Difference Makers are living up to their names, working on projects throughout southeast Michigan to  benefit the community. Jamilah Alhashidi, Suehaila Amen, Sherra Bennett, Mary Fastigi, Tyson Gersh and Rob Vazquez are the most recent recipients of the Edward J. Bagale Difference Maker Scholarships.

Following the January announcement of a centralized policy that supports the health, wellness, safety and security of children who interact with the university, U-M officials took to campus to share policy specifics and gather feedback on implementation.

The University of Michigan-Dearborn Commission for Women will host the 36th Annual Susan B. Anthony Awards Dinner on Thursday, April 10, with reception and silent auction beginning at 5 p.m. and dinner and award ceremony following at 6:30 p.m. The event will be held in the Michigan Rooms in Fairlane Center South. This Wednesday, students will have an opportunity to participate in a business idea pitch competition in Quad E of the Fairlane Center North. The top pitches will be awarded with cash prizes from a pool of $2500 to help further their entrepreneurial idea. Campus and local community members are invited to watch the pitch competition live.
