Diversity Discussions, Workshops and Speakers

Designed to be participatory and highly interactive, the Diversity Discussions, Workshops and Speakers we host present an opportunity for all Notre Dame staff to share experiences, learn from each other, and ultimately grow to make the University a more diverse and inclusive place where everyone can do their very best work. 

Staff Diversity Plans

Notre Dame’s executive vice president and his leadership team meet to review progress on diversity initiatives within their divisions. They focus on developing and implementing the Diversity and Inclusion Strategic Plan, which includes action items to make our climate, recruiting/hiring and training practices more diverse and inclusive.

Employee Resource Groups

Sponsored by the Office of Human Resources, Employee Resource Groups support networking and community-building among staff members. They also assist the University with recruitment, retention, and educational activities. Current groups and their presidents include:

Staff Advisory Council (SAC)

The Staff Advisory Council (SAC) is a group of Notre Dame non-exempt employees who serve as a pipeline of information between the University administration and staff. SAC is an advisory group that does not form policy, but shares important information about the University with other staff members and also collects ideas and thoughts from the staff to help advise the administration on important issues.
