McCloskey who served as a Republican, was known as a pro-environment, anti-war lawmaker who co-authored the federal Endangered Species Act and co-founded Earth Day.

Mold-breaking Congressman Pete McCloskey dies at 96 years old

With more than 42,000 women dying from breast cancer each year in the U.S., national health experts are significantly changing their recommendations when it comes to screenings.  

The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force now advise women aged 40 to 74 should undergo routine mammogram screening every two years.

This marks a departure from previous guidelines, which only recommended women to make individual screening decisions in their 40s but advised starting no later than age 50..
