Supporting Walton County’s Creative Community

The Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County (CAA) provides funding and grants, organizes art workshops and classes, and provides exposure to the arts to local schoolchildren.

Art for All Funding

Funding is available for artists, arts organizations, teachers, and students through the CAA’s Art For All Program. Applying is easy, and awards are distributed throughout the year. Read the guidelines below, and find out if you are eligible to get your class, project or education endeavor is eligible for funding from the CAA.

Artist Grants

Artist Education Grants are designed for emerging artists who are members of the CAA residing in Walton County, Florida. The program provides support for the individual artist to take advantage of specific skill-building educational opportunities to advance their work. Artists of every artistic discipline are eligible to submit an application including Fine Arts, Performing Arts, and Literary Arts.

 Teacher/School Grants

The purpose of the Teacher Mini Grant program is to enhance the visual, literary and performing arts experiences of all Walton County school-age children K-12 in public schools, private 501c(3) schools and home schools through funding for special enhancement activities established by a teacher. Quarterly and annual awards are available. If you received a teacher mini-grant previously you MUST complete the online feedback form before applying for another grant.

 Student Scholarships

Scholarships are available to outgoing high school seniors or current college students who have declared or intend to declare a major in the visual, literary or performing arts at the undergraduate level. There is no deadline to apply, and applications will be reviewed by committee quarterly. The Susan Foster Scholarship, Karen Kolenberg Scholarship and Sheila Goode Scholarship are available.

 Grants to Organizations

Grants are available to non-profit arts organizations serving Walton County, Florida in the area of arts education.

Need-Based Youth Scholarships

The purpose of the Need-based Youth Scholarship Program is to enhance the visual, literary, and performing arts experiences of need-based Walton County school-age children (K-12) in public, private and home schools through individual student funding to enable participation in special enhancement activities. Each awarded mini-scholarship will be up to $100 per child for each program.

Emergency Relief Funds for Artists

Emergency Relief Grants are available to individual, professional, working artists of all disciplines who live or work in Walton County, FL and have lost income because of the cancellation of a specific, scheduled gig or opportunity (performances, art shows, commissions, contracts, teaching opportunities) or a temporarily or permanently closed business (self-owned or represented gallery, venue) due to COVID-19 precautionary measures.

Workshops

The CAA offers over 250 affordable art classes each year for artists of all ages and skill levels. From after-school and summer programs for kids to Oil, Acrylic, Pottery, Fiber and Watercolor classes for adults, the CAA has a class for everyone. Have an idea for a class? We'd love to hear about it! We have options available in person at our Bayou Arts Center and Miramar Beach Creative Campus as well as virtually with our Digital Creative Campus. Please complete and submit this form for consideration. 

Creative Kids Camp

Talented instructors teach your budding artist how to work with a variety of mediums and use different techniques so each student goes home with a diverse portfolio of work. Daily and weekly registration options are available.
