As a social designer, strategist, leadership coach, speaker, and dancer, I appreciate complex problems that require deep thinking, organizational structure, creative collaboration, thoughtful design, and care for the human condition. The many facets of my life include:

DEDICATION TO HIGHER EDUCATION LEADERSHIP: With three decades of chief experience working with universities, I've been afforded national leadership roles, transformative stories, and lasting relationships that have cultivated a clear purpose. I led a collection of campus innovators including an employee-focused Center for Leadership aimed to harvest collective knowledge at all levels of the organization and elevate the leader within.

EXPERTISE IN ENTERPRISE RISK & STRATEGY: As vice president at a liberal arts college and now as the chief risk officer at the University of Denver (a research 1 institution), I have developed national models for converting risk management processes into a change management system.

EXPERIENCE WITH GOVERNANCE: I served on ten boards, including two school boards (Regenerative and St. Andrew's Sewanee), a hospital board, two national associations, a local housing project, a global learning collaborative, and United EducatorsRisk Management Advisory.

COMMITMENT TO EQUITY & CULTURE: As a contributing writer and advisor to the Culture of Respect, we addressed issues of gender equity and violence prevention. The blueprint has created change on over 100 college campuses. I was also the initial liaison for nine years to the Posse Foundation in Washington DC, which identifies, recruits, and trains diverse groups of high school students to become leaders on college campuses and in their communities, and for 16 years, I produced a diverse cultural dance production where beauty, movement, and diverse cultures use emotive music to capture the pain and promise of life.

SKILLED CONSULTANT & FACILITATOR: I have served as a consultant to presidents, vice provosts, deans, executive directors, and heads of independent schools. Scopes of work include creating new board structures, executive transition plans, SWOT analysis, risk registers, and strategic plans to facilitate transformative change.

DESIGNER & INNOVATOR: In partnership with Interconnecting, we designed a prototype visual transcript, allowing students to map their own learning aligned with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. I also served as the chief innovation officer for four years.
