Jay West OM At WGH/Norfolk
Max Media/Norfolk AC WVBW Brand Manager Jay West has been elevated to OM for the cluster, which includes day-to-day programming of Country WGH. He succeeds Mike "Moose" Smith, who exited last month (CAT 3/28). "Jay's exceptional leadership skills and deep understanding of our industry make him the ideal candidate to lead our team," says VP/MM Keith Barton. West has been in the market since 1995 and joined WVBW in afternoons in 2020, adding Brand Manager duties later that year. His previous stops include Buffalo, Milwaukee, Houston and Philadelphia. Lambert Signs To Republic/Big Loud
Miranda Lambert has signed with Republic Records, a deal which includes support from Big Loud including Country radio promotion and marketing. Lambert's first new music since 2022's Palomino, the single "Wranglers," will be available May 3. Lambert left Sony Music Nashville, her label home of more than 20 years, last year (CAT 3/15/23). She performs at Stagecoach Saturday (4/27).
"Music is and always will be the thing that drives me, but having a new home has given me a hunger I didn’t realize I still had inside me," Lambert says. "This song feels like it could be on the same record as ‘Gunpowder & Lead’; it has that same fury. I can’t wait to get out there with this new label and this new music ... [Republic Founder/Chairman] Monte Lipman and his team fire me up!” Adds Lipman, "Miranda Lambert’s legacy as both a consummate storyteller and legendary performer speaks for itself."

Manley Upped To PD at WGKX
Belle Of The Beale: Cumulus WGKX/Memphis APD/MD/midday host Kay Manley has taken over PD duties for the station; the position had been vacant since last year's departure of Chad Heritage (CAT 5/16/23).
