Student Loan Repayment: What You Need to Know

Federal student loan payments are about to resume after being on pause since March 2020. The Biden administration is pursuing multiple options for debt cancellation since the Supreme Court decision on their initial student loan forgiveness plan, but this could take quite some time.

Borrowers are left with many questions as the clock ticks down:

• How do I choose a repayment plan?
• Do I qualify for other types of loan forgiveness?
• What is the new SAVE repayment plan, and how is it different from the others?
• What if I can't make payments right now?
